Our Staff

Coach

Also known as Coach Slay, Coach Ashley has been coaching for over 6 years.  When she is not in the cheer gym she enjoys playing games and dancing around the house with her two children, Kaleb and Mckenzi.  Her love of our sport began when she was a cheerleader and coach at Viper All Stars.  She transitioned to York Elite where she specializes in coaching levels 1-4.  She has helped coach her teams to D2 Summit bids and US Finals Championship wins.  She strives to help her athletes learn something new each practice and loves seeing the smiles on their faces when they succeed at something they've been working on.  She loves to dance and sing and is undefeated in Parent/Coach dance offs.

Coach Ashley is beginning her second year of coaching at York Elite.  She started her career as a cheerleader for eight years,  cheering for both recreational and all star teams.  Most recently, she was a flyer on an Open Level 6 team.  Her favorite parts of coaching are watching the athletes grow and learn as well as the excitement when athletes finally gain a skill they have been working on.

Coach Bre began her career as a cheerleader for 14 years.  She transitioned into coaching as as a head coach for recreational sideline cheer and gained experience coaching at all levels, even helping as director of two programs.  She is currently in her 5th year as an All Star coach with York Elite.  She specializes in coaching our prep and novice teams and is known for her great eye for detail.

Coach Loni joins us this year and brings 25 years of coaching experience with her.  She began her career coaching at St. Pat's and moved to the recreational cheer world where she became a cheer director while still coaching several teams.  She transitioned to the All Star cheer world at Full Force All Star where she coached a two times National champion team while also coaching her daughter's high school squad and leading them to a championship win.  Coach Loni brings with her a passion and love of the sport. She specializes in technique and has an eye for bringing out the best in an athlete.

Coach Melissa was a cheerleader for 11 years before she began her coaching career and is currently in her 11th year of coaching. She coached at Eastern Elite All Stars as a coach for their level 1 and 2 teams before joining us at York Elite.  She has helped lead two D2 Summit finalist teams, one US Finals Champion, three Reach the Beach Champion teams, and multiple Gold Bid winners.

Coming to us after spending most of her life living in Ohio, Coach Dawn is beginning her 6th year of coaching with our gym.  Adopted at 9,  she went on join the United States Army where she served for 3 years and learned how to be disciplined, driven, and independent. A mother of two, she is a Yorktown Business Institute graduate.  Her love of coaching comes from seeing the drive and passion from all of our athletes.  She believes that progression is every coach's vision, whether it's a new team or a new skill.  Her motto is "Keep pushing yourself and it will come!"

 Coach Erin is in her first season coaching with us at York Elite and is beyond excited for what this year holds for these talented girls! She has been involved in cheer for 30 years, both cheering herself and coaching.  She cheered Rec, High School, All Star, in college at Towson University, and in the 1999 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  She was also selected All Star Cheer Camp MVP.  She has coached Rec, High School, and All Star teams and has experience coaching levels 1-5.  Her teams have won various championship titles and have place in the top 15 at Summit.  When Erin is not at the gym she is traveling back and forth to Canada to watch her son as he plays hockey.  

The Money Man

Chris was born in West Virginia but has lived in Pennsylvania since he was five.  He has three children, one being our own Coach Ashley, three grandchildren, and his German Shepard puppy, Kora.  Having learned all about the All Star cheer world with Coach Ashley and always being a huge supporter of Coach Toya's huge heart, her coaching qualities, and love of the sport and athletes, Chris was honored to join the program two years ago.  Putting his Associates Degree in Accounting from Stanford University to work, he is responsible for all account payments and organizing all fundraisers.  In the rare instance he is away from the cheer gym, he enjoys reading, working in the yard, and watching his kids and grandkids enjoy their lives as they experience new things.
